Hey guys, so I've been working on a show for Marching Band in Finale since April and decided to ask for some feedback on what I have so far. It's only the Battery and Pit in the recording, I'm still tweaking the wind parts because I've never played a wind instrument and I know nothing about them so I'm kind of nervous to show that for now. Anyways near the end it's pretty unfinished and the bass drums I feel are too quiet in almost the entire thing so I'll work that out.

If you want a one of the sections or instruments singled out feel free to ask for it, I can always upload more.

Any feedback/suggestions would be awesome!

I've never heard Swan Lake but here it goes.

First of all, I like how you incorporate many various different instruments. Ex: Triangle, chimes, different cymbals, cabasa.
I like how you kind of doubled the melody on the bass drums.
I feel like you could have used some type of battery between 2:11 & and 3:11.
At 3:10, I don't know if that marimba part is in the real Swan Lake, but I feel like that part would be hard to clean between most high school players.

Can't wait to hear what it sounds like with the winds! Good job.

Thanks! Most of the piece is actually composed by me, like the part where the marimbas are that you mentioned. The first minute is the only Swan Lake I actually have included so far, and I'm not even sure if the parts are right but I just kind of mimicked the actual song to get something I like haha. The really slow part that has no drumming is the ballad and the beginning of that is from Adagio For Strings by Samuel Barber, starting around 2:25. Thanks for that though! I don't think it would be too bad to clean that for my school at least but I'll try adding and taking things out, same goes for the mid section with no drums.
