So, after reading the rules,

Since three of my groups medaled in a past finals event, they'd be able to get in through the first cut, while the fourth, my marching band, was only a finalist and would have to wait until the finalists are accepted on Thursday.

Then lets say I made another account like, just now, or as the season begins and called it SolarisX23, (hypothetically, I didn't make a second account called SolarisX23), and my groups there have never been in anything ever, then, we'd be declined on the spot since we've never medaled or made finals. We'd just have to apply for a different show on the same day. (simple fix for a monday show on week 5)

I just wanted to make sure, in case I wanted to host Masters on Mars or something when I become more active in the future.

What would one have to do in order to host the masters of FMA? I'm interested for season 53

Hosting rules:

* director must be in good standing and be able to host a minimum 20 group event
* FMA Masters will take place Monday of Finals week
* Until Thursday of pre-season week, only medalists (Gold, Silver, Bronze) from previous finals (including all 3 divisions) will be accepted.
* After Thursday, the host may start accepting previous seasons finalists- non-finalists will not be accepted, even to fill spots.

You could most certainly do it man, just make sure you have the funds!

So, in order to host in 53 I'd have to medal in THIS season and have the funds?

I do not believe you have to medal in order to host. The medal talk is for accepting applications for Masters meaning you have to have either a medal to be accepted right off the bat or you have to be a finalist to be accepted after Thursday.

No you don't have to medal. I haven't medaled but I hosted back in season 44.

GCurrier might confirm. You don't have to medal, or even be a finalist to host the Masters. My understanding is this is an event for the best of the best to compete in, while hosting is open to directors in good standing, especially newer directors who have not hosted it before to help those directors raise funds.

Masters is filling up pretty swiftly, but could use more medalist to sign up. Today is the last day of medalist only and will start accepting finalist as soon as 12am hits. We have 5 groups pending acceptance and 20 accepted for Drum Corps, so that event will be closed if no medalist groups join. For marching band there are 4 groups pending acceptance and 19 accepted groups, so we still have room for more medalist or for 1 finalist. Guard and percussion have 17 accepted and 1-2 groups pending in both events respectively, so apply today to get in now if you're a medalist. Finalist should go ahead and apply because I'm accepting finalist by the order of receipt of application.
