This is the official thread for Masters of FMA hosted by rotating corps on Monday of finals week. In order to participate you have to be a previous medal winner (in any Division). I know people already harass CLASS and me for being elitist, but I think it would be something cool to both work towards as a goal and have just previous medal winners going head to head. I thought about just previous champions but that would leave out several GREAT competitors and maybe make it too small? This would NOT be a just CLASS event and would be required that first qualified applications are accepted in order.


Drum Corps Masters Hosts


Hosting rules:

* director must be in good standing and be able to host a minimum 20 group event
* good standing includes not running more than 2 drum corps, marching band, color guard, and Percussion units in any given season
* FMA Masters will take place Monday of Finals week
* Until Thursday of pre-season week, only medalists (Gold, Silver, Bronze) from previous finals (including all 3 divisions) will be accepted.
* After Thursday, the host may start accepting previous seasons finalists- non-finalists will not be accepted, even to fill spots.

I thought Redcoat Regiment has picked up a medal in Div. 2 or 3. Actually looking back at your scores. I'm surprised you never finished in a top 3 position. You might actually be one of the most successful corps to never do so on here.

Well bluecoats have medaled lol just not won. We have several contenders for best corps never to win. And Strad, just one more thing to shoot for so you can join the big guys lol

Lexington Legends was one of the corps in particular I was thinking of. Be a shame that something called the MASTERS wouldn't include one of the greats in the game! OK so everyone who is qualified, reserve Monday of finals week next season and Nemesis will host. I will then pass the torch to whomever we decide is next for the following season. The show will always be called The Masters of FMA.

it didnt--if we decide we DO want to move forward we can move the league showdown to Sunday and we can move one of the CLASS regionals. I was afraid the thrill had fizzled out LOL

I believe Kmarti was supposed to do it, but with all of the confusion of the late start it never got done.
