Regionals are tomorrow! Are you guys ready for some drumline awesomeness?
Let's not get ahead of ourselves though. Let's see what happened in tonight's competitions!
DIVISION I
1. Thunder - 58.105
2. Southmore Hill Royal Drumline - 57.135
3. The Drumming Dummers - 56.835
4. The Drummers Alliance - 56.670
5. Marching Bureaucrats - 56.050
Thunder still holds the strong lead as Southmore Hill Royal Drumline lessens the gap between first and second, raising their overall score by 57.135 and winning the Sneezapalooza. They edged out The Drummers Alliance at the competition hosted by Tissue Drumline, handily winning the Performance captions, and swapping back and forth with The Alliance in the Ensemble and GE categories. The Drummers Alliance rose their overall score by .74 and passing the Marching Bureaucrats, who did not compete today.
DIVISION II
1. Line of Distinction - 54.500
2. Golden Sticks Percussion - 52.585
3. Nova Drumline - 52.215
4. The Dragon Rabbits - 51.440
5. BEECHES DRUM LINE - 51.385
Line of Distinction continues to dominate Division II, and they show no signs of stopping. BEECHES DRUM LINE is moving slowly but surely through their overall score. They've won their last four competitions, including tonight's Sneezapalooza, where they barely beat out Red Frogs to hold onto their fifth place spot. They took Visual Ensemble and GE Music, and only won over the Red Frogs by .065 points! This is definitely a tight division to watch tomorrow night!
DIVISION III
1. Sinisteria - 51.485
2. Pulse - 50.675
3. Sticks & Stones - 50.585
4. Polyrhythmic - 49.900
5. Knights Drumline - 49.795
Once again, most of the competition rested for tonight to be at there best for big show tomorrow, but one drumline refused to go into tomorrow without some momentum. Sticks & Stones competed for their first time since the 9th, raising their score by a whopping 3.725 since then, and winning their competition tonight at the Florida Classic.
I hope you are as excited as I am to see what happens tomorrow night!
