INDIANAPOLIS (FMA) -- Last night at Lucas Oil Stadium, ISMA crowned its champions for Season 31 to an enthusiastic and supportive audience.
The Avery Viking Marching Band was the cream of the crop for the entire show and was crowned Division II Champions with a ISMA Div II Record score of 80.470. The Vikings, with their Christmas-themed show, stand currently in 2nd place in FMA and are looking forward to great things in Finals this weekend.
North Lebanon Rangers finished second with their Phil Collins-inspired show, finishing .545 ahead of crosstown rivals Tiger Pride.
In Division III, the Band of Cats earned the Championship, scoring a 62.970 with their crowd-pleasing spectacle "To The End". The Cats look like they'll also make a Finals appearance in FMA. Euph Esprit de Corps finished in seconds, with ELHS 2 rounding out the medal stand.
League Commissioner cawheat said, "We had a nice year in ISMA. Although many of our bands were focused on development and fund-raising, we were still able to put on a great show for the fans. And some of our bands will carry the ISMA banner and make some noise in this weekend's FMA Finals."
