Hello there! If you're reading this, you're a part of MAoA history. Season 27 is the Marching Arts of Asheville's debut in drum corps, marching band, and colorguard.

The Rocketeers Drum and Bugle Corps:

For their first year, the corps will be performing a show entitled "Above, Below and Beyond." It is a Frank Ticheli tribute based around the thought of Heaven, Hell and the infinite unknown. Heaven will be symbolized by Angels in the Architecture. Hell is symbolized by Vesuvius. The infinite beyond is symbolized by American Elegy, for it is an elegy for the dead: it symbolizes all the fallen and the spirits laid to rest.

Mountain Sound of Asheville Marching Band:

For it's first year, the community band will be performing its show entitled "There's No Place Like Home," a tribute show to The Wizard of Oz and Wicked. Songs include Follow The Yellow Brick Road, Somewhere Over the Rainbow, As Long As You're Mine and Defying Gravity.

Land of the Sky Colorguard:

The debut show of Land of the Sky is called "The Fallen and the Forgotten." The introduction will be This is War by 30 Seconds to Mars and will feature one of the guard members singing. Movement 1 is dedicated to the soldiers with Each Time You Tell Their Story by Samuel Hazo. Movement 2 is dedicated to the martyrs with an instrumental version of Safe and Sound by Taylor Swift. Movement 3 is dedicated to the victims with American Elegy by Frank Ticheli.
