Is anyone a member of a music fraternity or sorority?

I was a member of Kappa Kappa Psi when I was in college. I know I saw a group called Sinfonia something which is part of Phi Mu Alpha.

A lot of my college level staff in marching band are in them. I don't know if I will ever do this but I'm definitely going to check it out in a couple years when I graduate high school.

KKPsi is a great one. It is all about helping support your bands. We did a lot of things for the marching band and jazz bands. I actually learned a lot from various things we did. I learned how to set up and run a sound board. I've done almost every job when it came to running a competition marching, concert, jazz, and winter units.

I would always suggest checking them out even if you don't want to join a frat or sorority. Just so you know Kappa Kappa Psi is a co-ed fraternity and the sister sorority is Tau Beta Sigma which is also co-ed.

Maybe someone else can tell you more about some of the others like phi mu alpha and mu phi epsilon and sigma alpha iota.

Well I guess I'm in the minority.

The original members of the Colonial Arts leagues, myself included, are members of Phi Mu Alpha or Sigma Alpha Iota at James Madison University. one4jmu got us hooked on here.

Always been a fan of JMU. Live in Fairfax and Madison was my second choice for school (after Kentucky).
