Just one question. Why March 4th? Why not when more marching arts are still running like in October?

I am not sure actually I was not the author of the proposal I just happened to stumble upon it. Maybe it is to set a neutral date since it also includes indoor drumlines and color guards. It could also be a random date that the government assigned to it.

I think it's like how May 4th is Star Wars day (May the Fourth be with you). As in MARCH FORTH (FOURTH)! Get it? :P
