Well you also have to keep in mind that you will do progressively better as you move up. By the time you are d1 you will probably be scoring at least an 85 every season. This is based on your previous progress of course lol

Can you be bumped down? Is that possible? lol I'm just sad I haven't even gotten a medal yet in D3. Oh well.

Season starts tomorrow and I just created the league events for KMEA-DC and KMEA-DL. Damn, I'm good. lol

On a serious note, we've always held competitions on Saturdays, so those are the days that I always hold open.

Kiowa, you can be bumped down but it takes time, and there is a formula to see who gets moved up or down. My suggestion is to try to stay in D3 as long as possible, then D2 as long as possible... a few people in the past have joined and "paid" their way to 1st place in D3 their first year out scoring in the 90s or something ridiculous.. they go bumped up the next year and took last every show.

And Strad, I wouldn't count on dethroning my color guard. We will consent to a tie if you can get there though. :)

On an unrelated note, got to meet Insanity and quack this past weekend at the Kentucky marching band championships. Had a great time!

I got bumped up to D1 in my Marching Band and Drumline. I was hoping that I would go up in all of them. I guess that just gives my Drum Corps a bit more room to improve, before I get into the top division.

JShuler yeah that happened to my color guard a while ago. Everything was in d1 except my guard and I steamroled d2 going undeafeted. Take adventage and grab a medal!

Corndog, what did you think of Lafayette using My Heart Will Go On in their show? That was the greatest reaction to a show that I have seen in my ten years of watching state finals in Kentucky. And I believe the first time I've ever seen a standing ovation before the show was over.

I thought Lafayette put on a really great performance, loved their use of "My Heart Will Go On" at the end. Thought that beating heart visual was really cool too. They really earned their Championship.

I'm going to be honest. That is the best *bleep*ing marching band I have ever seen! Congrats to them for the win! They deserved it! For me coming from Central New York and seeing bands like West Genesee as the best this is really eye-opening lol

god I hate marching band. lol
