Well if anyone needs a competition for oct 20th my marching band is hosting been an entire week and only 4/15 idk why its not filling up kinda sad

Kiowa, it is probably because of how many shows are being hosted that day. They probably just applied to other shows at random.

It is always crucial to find a day when there are not as many shows. I always try and be the first one to put a show on the day that I want.

Gotta be fast. moment you can put up shows, DO IT. And predict that the last 2 weeks will be extremely crowded.

Yep. I usually don't get to do it right away so I just pick whatever day has the least and smallest shows.

My current positions:

Drum Corps: 12
Marching Band: 8
Color Guard: 8
Drumline: 7

I expect to drop just out of finals by the end of the season in all groups lol

I'm almost dead last, but hey i'm campaigning and almost got all the staff positions in every group. Once I do, going to rehearse normally for the rest of the season.

EuphoniumBuHao you can still recover! That or you could campaign this season but if you were persistant you could still do very well come finals night.

Yes that is quite good for a first season with virtually no staff! Keep at it Kiowa!

What are the advantages to campaigning and not participating in the season?

When you fund raise for an entire season you have a great amount of money to spend on staff which improves your score my a set amount at the beginning of every season. This is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. In order to be competitive in division 1 you need all level 20 or higher staff.

When you go full promotional campaign for a season (influence) you get a larger amount of audition points to add to your captions. This slightly less effective of your score than staff but can still help.
On top of that, with more influence, show hosts are much more likely to accept your application to there show. This leads to a fuller schedule.

Yay my corps and band both jumped by 1.1!

I'm going up slowly... But that's just me adding staff to my groups, and with little rehearsal time.
