Good start for my groups. I was a little surprised when my drum line got bumped up a division but they seem to be on track for a Finals spot in Division I as of right now.

I'm using a slightly different strategy than I normally do but as always I am way behind everyone else at this point. Hopefully I can still make finals this season.

On the bright side, BDE still has the drum corps record for 4th place with 8 of them. Sadly TAF is in 2nd with 4. Three of them consecutive. All four happening in the last 5 seasons.

In band, SoW has 7 and in 2nd TAE has 6.

Same with drumline. SoW has 8 4th place appearances (including a 3 season streak). And in 2nd TDM has 4. Including a 3 streak.

In guard. SoW and Nobles of Grace each have 6. TCS have 4.

Out of 104 D1 finals, 4th place has gone to the same 9 groups 53 times. That cursed position. Even though it seems Tullahoma has taken SoW's place as the perennial 4th placer.

See the spot just fits for you, you know all these awesome facts about the placement! It was interesting for me to look back and see how much the scoring levels change each season for the past 3 seasons I have scored right around an 87 now that score has gotten me silver bronze and this season looks like 6th. It just amazes me how heightened the scores are for D2 this season.

P.S. Nice pic EuphoniumBuHao

It's my first season out in Division 3, and I stand at second place right now. Persistence is key, and setting up your "shows" level and audition takes critical thinking. I didn't do much research about what levels I should start at overall, but if it got me second place in my first season, I'm doing something right.

Haha, thanks. It's from Blitz: The League 2.
This is only my 3rd month here on FMA, but I feel like the summer would be harder because of all the kids waiting to start marching band playing.
I made the mistake of not doing preseason, and choosing rather high levels. Congrats, deafguy on your placement this season! best of luck to you in div2.

Summer is the easiest season because of all the drum corps kids taking off.

Thanks Euph, looking forward to having some good competition with you next season maybe.

Vinny, I never really put current drum corps marchers not being here on FMA into thought! I'm sure most of them are all in DIV II or I, but i'd place a bet that next season be tough in Div III any how after DCI finals is over.

I am pretty positive we will see you in D2 next season DeafGuy I placed 5th my first season and was promoted to D2 my second season. Also I think the summer has been a lot harder, if you want proof just look at D2 the top 3 spots will probably all beat the previous high score record.

D3 is a lot harder, too. Last season i ended 5th with a 62. Now im barely making finals with a 68.
