That'd be pretty cool. How about it?

This would be a very nifty feature.

There used to be one, I believe. And it was not used much. (Maybe it was FMB?)
Users are always on at different times, so it would be hard to keep an active chat going.

Someone could just create a forum post and have it do the same, heck I will go do it right now!

The FMB one was fun, Alex used to announce finals results in there.

So I am guessing everyone was in the chat room as it came time for finals to be announced? It is a cool idea but it could technically be done with the forums.

I don't know I used to catch quite a few people in the chats. I talked to Wayne, yellow jackets, and I forgot her username but Courtney.
Prelims was the best time for the chat to catch the most people.
Though honestly it might just be a better use of resources if we create like a tinychat just for Prelims through finals every season. We could have the commentators set it up and announce the results. Only thing is I don't know how the commentators could get the scores and not the rest of us until after the chat.

The people in the chat could just not look at the scores..

It's actually pretty doable and could be a lot of fun. Maybe do it over IRC?
Or Alex could have the results page hidden for an hour or whatever and just have a link to the chat page.. only the score announcer could see the results.

One thing is though that there definitely used to be way more drama about the results. For the most part now it's pretty obvious who will win, or at least you know it will be between one or two groups. I did really like it though.

Did the old FMB have a Prelims/Semis/Finals set up like current FMA does? Seems like it would be sort of hard to create drama with a full Finals week set up. I definitely like the idea but I'm curious how it worked. Either way, it sound like fun even if there isn't necessarily so much drama.

I would like to know too.

I remember at least a Prelims/finals.
I believe there used to only be 1 competition a week which is why there was so drama. I mean you could usually place yourself + or - four spots each week. And div 2 was actually the most competitive division.

That's actually pretty cool...
I liked the "hide the statistics page" so we can hear the scores from a commentater :)
