Green Glory Marching Minutes Volume 1:
-----------------------------------------------
Green Glory Drum and Bugle Corps
-----------------------------------------------
In a recent interview with the corps director, we were able to discuss the happening of the Green Glory Drum and Bugle Corps. When asked what his goals were for the season, he has this to say,
"In the beginning we were hoping for an excellent start, which is what we've accomplished. Now we plan on pushing it through to the end. Our show is not THAT exciting, we aren't hoping to 'WOW' the crowd. We're trying things out for our debute. Division 1 was tougher than what we though, but if we were in D2 (division 2), we'd be with (met) little resistance."
Seems he is confident in his corps. But as of late the corps has been dropping in score. When questioned about this, he had no comments on the issue. Seems the corps is going through a rough patch. Could be a morale problem or it could be dictator like staff. But we do know the heat is killing the members. One of the contra players managed to tell us how unbearable the heat was. With humidity like this, no wonder anyone is having problems!

Green Glory Marching Band
------------------------------------
The marching director was busy with rehearsal, and seemed rather agitated when we showed up for an interview. There were many inappropriate words being shouted at us during rehearsal. We asked him why the band was dropping in rankings so fast, when at the beginning of the season they were in the Top 5.
"These [bleep] kids need to learn that the [bleep] band comes first. It's a [bleep] grade. They get graded for this [bleep]. Work is not a [bleep] excuse for missing [bleep] practice. Give them the [bleep] band schedule. They can work around it. School and band comes [bleep] first before a [bleep] McDonald's job. And don't even get me [bleep] started on missing competitions!"
Seems the director has some things to sort out the band. Hopefully they can turn it around. Their show this year seems to captivating audiences everywhere.

Green Glory Guard
-------------------------
It was a closed rehearsal, the director refused to give an interview. This group has yet to perform.

All in all
-----------
All in all, seems like there's still a ways to go in the season before it's all over, said, and done. Hopefully these two groups can shape up before the season ends. We'd like to see them make the finals this season. Seems they are destined for Semis though.
End.
