Alrighty. I have almost got all of the NEC into my competition. I have 20 spots. 6 already filled. I'm not competing in my own to give the GCC another spot. Also, Nemesis is unable to join for an unknown reason. Probably hit the week limit. Band Geeks are already in another competition. I'm waiting on Legion, Dunkirk Patriots
, and Riptide. As for the rest, I'll be giving the remaining 11 spots to GCCers, if that's okay.

Sorry that I haven't responded much today. Things are starting up for me again so I can't get on the forum as much as I was.

@prof - considering what could have gone wrong in this first try I think we can label this a success so far! I am very happy with how things have been going.

@vincent - that sounds like a great plan, thanks for keeping us up to date.

In mine, I have myself, Modern Antic, General Mclane Lancers, Perception , Menno Knights, Marching Bureaucrats, Nemesis from ours, and currently 3 gulf coast members.

Just a general note and probably an obvious thing, but:

If a member can't be accepted to your show because they have maxed out their acceptances for the week, go ahead and add another gulf coast member to your show.

ex. Nemesis has already been accepted to 5 shows during week 4 so I am going to replace their spot with a gulf coast member

As you may or may not know, there is talk of adding to our membership area next season to include KY,TN,NC and SC. I personally think that this is a great idea as more membership means we can do more with our shows. This may include renaming our conference to something more appropriate (eastern conference, etc.) Lets see what everyone thinks, please post any concerns or comments you have regarding this issue.

Board Members, please message me with your thoughts on the matter.

Keep in mind that this is all hypothetical right now...

also, any members who were waiting to sign up for the dunkirk patriot's show on the 8th of September may go ahead and sign up for Music by the Lake hosted by the general mclane lancers on the same day. Tomcat3008 accidentally scheduled his show on the first day of the season so if you need a show in the first week, sign up for that one.

Also, did you get any messages lately from people looking to join? I sent some of them to you, and I never followed up.

I have received positive feedback from a couple of you so I am going to proceed as if there are no objections. If there are objections, we will of course hear them and consider them appropriately.

I am on board--sounds good--speaking of on board--who is on the board? all directors or just executives? also I assume we dont need to re-apply if we want to continue to be part of the new combine

The board of directors (ah I see the confusion - directors, maybe we'll change this to executive board) consists of all the elected directors.. President, VP, and the regional directors. Though, of course, everyone has an equal voice here.

Current members will not have to reapply, but will have to state their intent to continue in the combine (just to avoid any confusion). We will deal with that later in the season.

Any suggestions for the new combine name?

- all-eastern combine
- east coast combine
- new east combine

We will definitely vote on this later

All-East Conference is a decent name. I also like Eastern Combine, EFMA (Eastern Fantasy Marching Association)... to name a few.
