After a two year hiatus Epic Drum & Bugle Corps and Euphoria Winterguard will be performing once again. There has been has been some restructuring within the organization, but they have been working hard to come back to put an even more amazing product. Wesley Doescher, Epic’s corps director said, “we are proud to still be around in such a harsh economic time.” The corps will be presenting their Season 20 show: “For Once Was Lost”. Their musical selections are The Gravel Road from the Village by James Newton Howard, Dies Irae by Verdi, Church Windows Mvt. 4 by Respighi, War Dance from Daphnis and Chloe by Ravel and Symphony for Brass and Percussion, 3rd Mvt. By Alfred Reed. The show is based on the glory, beauty and respect that Epic was known for. After the two season of absence from the activity, the corps is something of the past and not taken seriously. “This is our time to reclaim the prestigious name of Epic and show the FMA community that we will never gone, just in hiding”, said drum major Elise Levron. “But no matter where we place at the end of the season I am glad to be back on the field.”

Just like Epic, Euphoria will be returning into action. The pure beauty and grace of Euphoria will be presenting their show Remembrance. The musical selection will be Gortoz a Ran by Hans Zimmer. This show will pay tribute to all those who lost their life for someone else. This can be from a soldier fighting over seas, a fighter fighter/police officer, etc. Once again, Euphoria will have the audience on their feet with tears in their eyes come Finals. Guard captain Kerri Capozzi said, “When we found out the show concept we all found a personal connection to make the show more personable and to be able to connect emotionally with the audience.” With a handful of returning members mixed with some rookies, the season will bring challenges for the group, but one they are excited to begin.
