Coming off of a strong 7th Place finish on their return Season, the Celtic Druids of Dublin Drum & Bugle Corps is hitting the field again for their 15th anniversary! To celebrate this, the corps looks inward for their production "Pastorale", a look at some of Europe's most beautiful landscapes, from Ireland, Australia, and present day Germany. In honor of this monumental Druids Season, the corps has dawned new uniforms which are a more modern remake of their very first ones, which can be seen at www.thedruidsdrumcorps.webs.com/uniformsandbanners.htm.

Also, the corps will be doing a number of things to welcome this fine Season. For starters, they have been in the progress of fund raising for the classic FMA Dublin European regional event, which will host mostly corps from Europe, but also from the United States, and the corps will hold a special "memorial" concert that night where they will perform Druids hits like "1000 Airplanes on the Roof", "1812 Overture", "Incantations", and more! As always, it will be held in the lovely Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland. A formal announcement asking for European corps to join will go out in the coming days.

Last but not least, the corps design staff has announced the first draft of their Season 20 production idea, which is sure to be monumentally groundbreaking! The repertoire sheet can be read on our website under Next Season!

Well fans, that is all for now, but keep checking back to see how the boys and girls in green fair in their 15th anniversary Season!

At their second show of the Season, the Druids have managed to pull up into 17th place overall at the CLASS Preview of Champions. Before a little over fifteen-hundred adoring Indianapolis fans, the corps nabbed the bronze medal in their division, and a buzz has been spreading about a break into the top 12 before the end of Week 1.

"I am incredibly pleased with the work you've put in, and the results we're thusfar achieving," said director Douglas Olmstead as the corps circled around after their show.

"The crowd isn't used to these Druids, but we're knocking'em dead. They expect a dark, deep show, and they're getting something bright and more meaningful. They know us for our power, and now we're showing them our grace, and audience and judge alike are rewarding you for that."

The corps travels next to Boston, MA for the Victory at Sea contest hosted by Leviathan Drum & Bugle Corps tomorrow night, and will be bouncing across the country for the rest of the week. Keep reading for more updates, and as always, check out the website at www.thedruidsdrumcorps.webs.com for news, show repertoire, artwork, and all things Druid!
