Sad that Racine Scouts folded. My vote would go to Teal Sound.

Unfortunately, Teal Sound is ending their tour for the season early. I was really looking forward to seeing them. :(

Teal Sound folded are we still allowed to sponsor them? Or should we pick someone else?

It is sad to hear about Teal Sound and how they had to cut their season short. Many corps are struggling and for many people corps they never heard or cared about. Yes, we all like the big and powerful corps, but it is time we pay attention to the other groups and save our activity. Only marching Open Class I know what it is like to have a small budget compared to other groups. It is time to start helping out smaller, newer and less fortunate corps and make sure that Drum Corps International will be around for another 40 years!

I only marched one year of junior corps, in Open Class, and it's an experience to really enjoy like any other corps. Sad to see two corps kick off this summer. My respect for the DCI organization is dwindeling with every corps that folds. I just don't know anymore. Best of wishes to the corps, of course.

I'm surprised to see Teal Sound fold since DCI tends to have pretty strict standards now for letting a Corps participate in the rigors of a World class schedule. This includes being financially stable so something must have happened in the two years. Racine makes a little more since they are a small open Corps despite their longevity. It is never a happy day when a Corps folds though like the Tragic of Orlando....I mean magic. ;) :P

After much debate with myself, I will be putting my sponsorship behind Blue Stars.
