Royal Heights High School has seen many ups and downs, including having 8 band directors in the last 15 years. At the end of this Season, David M. Smith, will be following in the foot steps and become the 9th band director to leave. Smith has been with Royal Heights for 3 years and has shown he is a great leadership, teacher, but most importantly someone who cares. Royal Heights never hardly won anything in the FMA Circuit, but always had high standards for its students. Smith has accepted a job a new position back at where he was most successful, Turner County High School, Home of the Blue Sound Marching Band. He will be missed, but Royal Heights will be strong and will continue its excellence in striving for the highest.
