I'm a newer member of this site but I did a lot of studying the history of Division III Drum Corps scores and I have noticed that the whole Division is on a record setting pace! I just thought it speaks a lot to the growth of this site and Scarlet Sound is thoroughly enjoying their first true season of competition!

Division III always sees different players. Since season one, division III winners have scored between 73 and 80, with the Season 11 exception of 83. If you notice, out of the 14 seasons there have been 13 different champions. There is usually a group or two (sometimes three) that is significantly higher scored (by 4 to 8 points) than its closest competitors (3rd through 8th).

The real growth (dedication-wise) lies in Division I, where 1st place scoring has increased by 10 points.

Site growth (member-wise) seems to actually have decreased with 193 division III drum corps in Season 1, to 93 last season.

The reason is definitely the switch to a 600 energy cap.
