The Midland Valley Redcoats and the Spanish Park HS Regiment (Formally J. Summerville HS Marching Band) releases their season 15 shows in hopes of breaking back into the top 10 of Division I competition for the new season. With success in previous seasons of Fantasy Marching Arts, both emsembles feel that it is that time to try something new within their shows.
The Midland Valley Redcoats are known to have dark-themed shows and executing them well. Their new show "Birth of A New Nation" suits them perfectly showing off the show both musically and visually. The show-opener Mars (Gustav Holst -

The contras will act as the militants of the powerful leader and will be challenged by the mello line with the well-known melodic structure of Mars. As the opener slowly fades, the second movement, Prelude in C# minor, Op. 3 No. 2 (Sergei Rachmanioff -

The prelude explains the anger of the citizens in the country and builds the tension of the government being overthrown. The third movement, Suite Dreams (Steve Bryant -

As the second and third movement resolve to a trumpet solo holding out a single note, the bloodshed and destruction from the revolution leaves the field and the rebirth of the country begins. The fourth movement Un Sospino (Franz Liszt -

Spanish Park HS Regiment's show "Impact!" will be a new experience for the ensemble as the mainly perform drum-corp style shows of high calibur. The show contains songs from different decades and styles of rock. The beginning of the show starts off with a hit from Sam & Dave, Hold On, I'm Comin' (
