Night Area High School has prided itself in being a leading innovator in the FMA world. This season Night Area High is in its 22nd season of competition. NAHS Marching Band started out as a Class A marching band in the first season of FMA 1 where they would place 12th place in finals with a 65.990. Now, after a few recent seasons of rough starts and late beginnings, Night Area High School is proud to annouce their Season 12 show, Symphonie Fantastique by Hector Berlioz, arranged by Key Poulan.


The first movement combines the poweruful Dies Irae with the March to the Scaffold. Our performance of this tune will begin with an actor poisoning himself with a drug and, in his mind, he kills his beloved. He then goes to watch his own execution.

Now, the character thinks back to a moment in a meadow where he began to have fears and irrational thoughts of, what if? What if she betrays him?

Our character now remembers a time where he was among a festival where he begins to feel haunted by the joy and his spirit is thrown into confusion.

Finally, he sees himself at a Witches' Sabbath. When he sees her coming to the Sabbath. He is torn and in the end he decides that he cannot continue and throws himself off a building.

Join us as we travel through a man's journey in Symphonie Fantastique! Night will be performing again in the FBOA circuit.


The Night Area High School Indoor Ensembles will once again be competiting in the IIEA league. Night Area High School Colorguard will be performing 1000 Words from the popular franchise, Final Fantasy. The game is Final Fantasy X-2.

The indoor percussion will be performing a Key Poulan arrangement entitled, Transparency.

Glass has long inspired and captivated artists and the public alike. It has the ability to be plain and functional or extravagant and artistic. From the artistry of old-time glass blowers to the colorful assemblages of Dale Chihuly, glass has served as a poetic muse for artists who have created some of the most beautiful works of art ever witnessed.

Transparency explores the various degrees of clarity of glass. The music is thick and impenetrable, then light and open, and finally invisible and airy.
