The Elkton Classis was hosted by the Elkton Echo Drum and Bugle Corps and boasted an audience of 849 spectators and 15 attending groups. The show took place at a local furnituremstore during a sale. Division Three started off in the couch/sofa/futon section. They dazzled the audience by lowering prices with their low brass sounds. However, because the sopranos were so high, they caused the prices to go up whenever they played above a high C. Eventually, the customers revolted and called security, who ended up sending the sopranos outside. Division Two took place on an expensive dining room table that was dispalyed in the computer desk section. The corps were judged on how well they could arrange the different place settings as well as making Thanksgiving Dinner look truly American. One corps was disqualified for forgetting to place the utensils perpendicular to the table's edge. Division One took place in the fluffy mattress section, which caused all the corps to fall sound asleep. Therefore they were all disqualified. All in all, this was a terrific show because I ended up saving a bundle on the hottest items in stock. You'd better hurry though, their furniture is running out and the prices will stay low for only so long! I guess the drum corps was kind of fun, but not as fun as 60% off cabinets made from the wood of cedar trees from Lebanon!
