With less than a week to go before the season starts, most of you are probably excited for the competition to get underway. Use this thread to talk about what you think about the upcoming season and talk about things you like (or don't like). As for me, I'm going to two shows this summer, the Pacific Crest Sneak preview next Saturday and Walnut on July 2nd. I'm also really looking forward to seeing Phantom Regiment in three weeks as it will be my first time seeing them.

I hope I can catch some of you at a show!

BDs uniforms this year is pretty crazy... kinda like the show logo... I heard it looks good on the field though, so we will see

Lots of crazy uniforms this year, but I'm in love with BD's, personally. Heard that the show was kick-butt too!

If what my roommate says is true the Cadets show sounds nasty. Would love for the Cadets to win this year!

I heard some of the Cadets stuff earlier this year.. sounds like a typical Cadets show.. (not in a bad way).. I am curious to see if they change the music at all.. right now it seems very repetitive (at least from what I heard)

It definitely sounds very Cadets, which I'm a fan of. As long as they aren't up there telling their life story, at least. But I'm pretty sure that isn't going to happen with this show.

From what I've heard they don't seem to be changing a whole lot. I'm also wondering about that though. As far as I know it's all based off of Angels in the Architecture with some other stuff thrown in here and there.

Yeah that's what I've heard too.. it's all Angels in the Architecture... the only downside to it is that there really isn't a whole lot to it

I did really enjoy the video I saw of them. I really want to see them live.

Anyone have predictions how the first show will yurn out? They're going to wait until Monday to announce the scores from both Saturday's and Sunday's events.

No predictions... but after watching Cadets video, I think they have a good show this year (I'm not a Cadets fan either).. they are still pretty dirty, but I think once they clean up by Finals, I can see them in the top 3 or 4.. but I haven't seen anyone else yet except BD... and based on what I saw show wise, I won't be surprised if they don't 3 peat this year.. unless they make some changes.. however section wise they sound amazing. If BD loses this year, I have a feeling it will be because of the show in general.

It will be a very interesting weekend though.

I might be going to the show in Indy on Tuesday. The Madison Scouts, Troopers, Crossmen, and Pioneer will be there. It should be fun!

I cannot wait to see some of these shows this season from many of the corps!

Never been a huge BD fan, but I loved their show last year. Interested to see what they can do with this show. Cadets definitely sounded good, and they're definitely who I want to win it. Their show should be exciting based on what my roommate has told me. Glad things finally are starting up this weekend!

The one thing I don't like about the season is that only one show is really within reasonable driving distance of my house. I usually don't see a full show until the quarterfinals are aired in the movie theaters.

Yeah, I've only got one show in driving distance too, and thats in Rome, NY, this August. My favorite drum corps has always been the Bluecoats, and they are gonne be there :P

Although, the Cadets show is making me want to jump in the bandwagen!

Don't get shot going to that show BaritoneB1 ;) haha. I will be going to the theatre event on 96th street in Indy and then hopefully going to the Muncie show on Friday if I can get off early enough. After that, looks like I'll only be able to really make it to Championships after that. This is going to be an intense year. This is what my BOLD pre-season predictions are for as well.

I hope the Glassmen finish eleventh. Them finishing eleventh just feels normal somehow.

I really hope the Scouts can put together a fantastic show this year. Them or Boston. Those are the only corps I'll get to see who have even a good chance at finals.
