as a reminder, especially to those newer corps, if you host a CLASS event, CLASS members should be given priority in attending.

all regional shows and finals are now up. Only the first regional is using the new format--i was little worried about money since it cost 30k for a championship and that was the total league funds! So we will phase out the dummy accounts as we make more money to host the regional shows.

I have many open spots for class corps...I'm going to wait through end of day and tomorrow I'm open...i think we should set a specific number of days you reserve sports after announcing your show is up

i have a number of requests to join CLASS. Typically we would require this before the end of the previous season. I know several of you have suggested we have a vetting committee process. Ideas on how we should proceed with requests? with the new set up, I think its easier to allow more corps, but what is our current desire. One thing is for sure, the new process will weed out those not dedicated to joining CLASS and being active.

Well, I'd say that we should just stick to the system we've had in place. Essentially that's close to how they have to ask to join anyway. If a group really wants to join I guess we could do some sort of vote, although not sure what the use of denying a group is. Unless they are brand new to the site and have no influence or experience at all.

I have several other requests that I am approving based on past results or asking for further information as far as what they feel they can bring to CLASS or how they would work to improve their corps or FMA

just as FYI as to why I have not started the season 9 post yet--I think typically we have unfinished business to clear up from one season to the next that fits best here. I think we are about concluded with that, so I will start the season 9 post likely tomorrow.

I have accepted a few more members in based on responses, etc.

At this time, I would like to ask if there are any nominations or changes for officers? It would appear one of our officers is not joining CLASS in the new set up. with the group expanding, are there expanding roles we need? I am hopefully I can get back on track with news reports and updates, but if anyone would like to assist with that, I think we should create another officer position.

now it is automatic that if you "apply" you are accepted as a CLASS member! We also received the funds from our dummy accounts....I apologize for anyone that has to reapply to Eastern CLASSic June 12, Southern Regional June 19 or CLASS Championships July 5th but this helped us now bring everything under the CLASS league and will be MUCH better going forward!

I definitely don't have enough free time to be competing in D1 this season. Oh well, I guess I'd rather be last in D1 than not first in D2.

the two top corps from Division II went Division I! This could be interesting!

I'd rather be Div 2! But now that I'm forced up you'll have to watch your backs.
