In the heart of Oklahoma, where the wide-open skies stretch endlessly, the Aurora Corps dreamed of creating an event that would showcase the artistry, passion, and relentless dedication of marching bands. Inspired by their own journey from a small-town band to a powerhouse of precision and emotion, they established the Celestial Sound Invitational—a competition celebrating the power of music to shine through the darkness, just like the aurora lights in the night sky.

Founded in 2005, the competition started as a regional gathering for local high school bands. Over the years, it grew into a premier invitational, attracting bands from across the state and beyond. Set in Willow Creek’s state-of-the-art stadium, the event features a unique celestial theme each year, encouraging bands to tell stories that inspire and move audiences.

The Celestial Sound Invitational has become more than just a competition—it’s a gathering of dreamers, where young musicians push their limits and light up the night sky with their sound.
