Great season MAoMA we managed to take home two medals and 6 finals spots not bad for a smaller league!

We aren't a smaller league anymore. We have 50 members, which is the second most for Drum Corps, and 5th overall. Maybe by next season, we could have the most. Watch out for MAoMA everybody!

Ya I noticed that last night and the crazy part is we are only entering our fourth season. You also have to remember we do have a lot of inactive members.

Could we fix that? Like, remove the ones that haven't checked since they have made their account, or in awhile

I mean we could, the only problem is some of them may have made an account for the summer and are just waiting to start up again. How would you feel if you came back and you were kicked out of your league? Adar and I have had this discussion and we thought best to leave it as it is but hey we are always open to other opinions

Yeah, I have really mixed feelings about it, too. We could also message members and ask if they need help. There's probably a few people that quit because they don't know the game mechanics that well. Some others are just really bad at checking their ensembles.

If I may make a suggestion. Although not everybody checks the forums, we could perhaps make some sort of roll call each season whether by PM or forum thread (they would have the full length to reply) and those who do not reply would be removed or perhaps given "probation". If you were to go the probation route, you could remove them after two full seasons.

I don't think using the forums would be a good idea... Piggy-backing off of that... What if there was an open chat box for league members on the league page? Anyone in that league could just go to the league page and see any messages that anybody sent. It would be really cool as well if some of the members were online at the same time. Just a thought. Or maybe there could be a league "wall" where you can post and comment on things like a facebook group. Hey yah never know!

I really do wish the league chat was more expanded. We do have a solid group of individuals that are very active and we appreciate that. In my opinion the only people who really should be removed are those who were clearly accounts that were played for all of one day and abandoned I also wish is was possible for you guys to be able to edit the forum post we have here. I mean if I ever leave (not very likely but still) no one could keep our records updated.

Also booster we do send out the new member messages and in my experience they rarely get a response, so a roll call may be hard to get feedback from. We also need to remember we are focused on our members so we dont really wanna kick anyone out and hurt their feelings. But hey i am only one member so your opinion counts just as much as mine.

Also guys we are officially the biggest league for drum corps!

If it becomes apparent that a user from six months ago and hasnt checked since, i think it's safe to remove them.

That is probably best. If ones last activity is a long time ago and haven't really made an effort, perhaps that would work better than taking role. I understand looking out for the members that's what's best for the league, but certainly there has to be a way to solve it.

Of course, I do not know if leagues have a limit or if inactive members hurt the league. I'm still relearning the system.

I really doesn't hurt the league in any way they just kinda sit there which is another reason why I dont really think we should start removing people.

Updated for season 28.

As many of you may have already seen I am now the new founder of MAoMA. I will be working with our wonderful board in the next few days to smoothly transition into the new position. There may also be a possibility of us adding a new board member.

This season was fun! I'm excited to participate in the next, gotta step up my A-game, see if I have shot at Gold!

It was a good season also don't be surprised if you get moved up to D2!
